In summer 2027, the cruise ship ASUKA II sets sail on three special cruises with the TV anime ONE PIECE, celebrating the 35th anniversary of ASUKA CRUISE. The theme is "a feast at sea with the Straw Hat crew." On board you'll find One Piece décor and photo spots, limited-edition collaboration goods, special menus and more inspired by the world of One Piece.

It's the first-ever One Piece collaboration on ASUKA II, and the closest you'll get to sailing with the Straw Hats for real.

The three cruises

1. Sailing with the Straw Hat Crew – ONE PIECE Toba & Izu Islands Cruise

  • July 27 (Tue) – July 30 (Fri), 2027: 4 days, 3 nights
  • Route: visits Toba in Mie Prefecture, famous for its pearl-farming waters, then spends a full sea day cruising past the Izu Islands, seen from the deck
  • Adult fare: ¥222,000 – ¥993,000 per person (2 sharing)
  • Child fare: ¥177,600 – ¥794,400
  • Works out to: from about ¥74,000 per person per night
  • Best for: the longest cruise and the most time on board for the festival, screenings and photo spots

2. Sailing with the Straw Hat Crew – ONE PIECE Weekend Matsuzaki Cruise

  • July 30 (Fri) – August 1 (Sun), 2027: 3 days, 2 nights
  • Route: Matsuzaki in West Izu on Suruga Bay. A beach area is set up so you can swim and relax, with Mount Fuji views across the bay on clear days.

3. Sailing with the Straw Hat Crew – ONE PIECE Minatomirai Fireworks Cruise

  • Route: watch the Minato Mirai summer fireworks over Yokohama from the deck. In 2026 the festival launched about 18,000 shots, and watching from the sea avoids the packed shoreline.
  • Adult fare: ¥158,000 – ¥709,000
  • Child fare: ¥126,400 – ¥567,200
  • Best for: the cheapest way in, with two firework shows (Yokohama's and the ship's own One Piece fireworks)

Can you do all three? The cruises run back to back (each one ends the day the next begins), so in theory you could sail for 7 nights. Ask the cruise desk or your travel agent about combining them.

Ports and times: the official announcement doesn't list exact embarkation ports or times for each sailing. They're in the official digital pamphlet. We'll add them here once they're confirmed in text.

What's on board

1. Departure party ("Feast of Departure") The voyage starts with a sail-away celebration on deck as the ship leaves port.

2. One Piece décor and photo spots One Piece decorations all over the ship, with photo spots where you can take pictures with the characters.

3. Special exhibits and screenings Special One Piece exhibits and screenings. ASUKA II has its own onboard cinema, the Hollywood Theater.

4. The "All Blue" menu ASUKA II's head chef created an original collaboration menu inspired by Sanji's dream of the All Blue, the sea where fish from every ocean meet. It's served at the buffet restaurant (Lido Cafe) every day of the cruise.

5. Night festival ("Feast of the Night") A Japanese summer-festival night on deck, with mini-games themed on the characters, festival food stalls and original fireworks designed around One Piece. Fireworks and festival events can be cancelled for bad weather.

6. Cruise-only goods

  • An amenity pouch with an exclusive One Piece design waiting in your cabin
  • Collaboration merch sold only in the onboard shop (limited stock, some items may also be sold online later)
