How do I plan a One Piece trip to Japan?
- Pick your season. USJ's One Piece event runs summer to autumn (Jul 30 – Nov 19 in 2026). ONE PIECE DAY is in late August, and Jump Festa is in December. The Sunny-Go Train runs on set days
- Choose your route. For a first trip: Tokyo → Osaka → Kumamoto (with Fukuoka), all by Shinkansen
- Book the things that sell out. The BASE SHOP entry lottery (ONE PIECE BASE app), USJ show and restaurant tickets, and Sunny-Go reserved seats (30 days ahead)
- Sort out transport. A JR Pass or a regional pass can pay for itself on the Tokyo–Osaka–Kyushu run. Compare JR passes on Klook
- Plan your shopping. From November 1, 2026 tax-free works differently: you pay full price and claim the refund at the airport. Bring your passport, and leave space in your hand luggage for figures
