What is the Mugiwara Store?

The ONE PIECE Mugiwara Store (麦わらストア, "Straw Hat Store") is the official One Piece merchandise shop chain, run by Toei Animation. It sells official apparel, figures, accessories and store-limited goods, and its Japan stores hold lotteries for ONE PIECE Card Game boosters. Japan has 11 stores, and there are more pop-ups in Japan and abroad.

Tokyo

  • Ikebukuro: Sunshine City Alpa 2F, 10:00–20:00

Where is the Mugiwara Store in Tokyo?

Tokyo has five: Shibuya, Ikebukuro, Odaiba, Tokyo Station and Harajuku. For one stop, go to Shibuya, the main store. On a travel day, Tokyo Station is the easiest.

Where is the Mugiwara Store in Shibuya, and what floor is it on?

It's on the 6th floor of MAGNET by SHIBUYA109 (1-23-10 Jinnan), right on Shibuya Scramble Crossing, 1 minute from the JR Hachiko gate. Exit A12 of the subway leads straight to the building. Open 10:00–21:00.

Where is the Mugiwara Store in Tokyo Station?

It's on Tokyo Character Street, Tokyo Station Ichibangai B1F, on the Yaesu side outside the ticket gates, right by the Yaesu Underground Central exit. From the Shinkansen, leave through any Yaesu exit and go downstairs. The JUMP SHOP is on the same street.

Which Mugiwara Store is best?

  • Best overall: Shibuya. It's the main store, with the biggest range and the famous photo figures
  • Best on a travel day: Tokyo Station. It's outside the gates by the Shinkansen, so you can shop before your train
  • Calmest: Odaiba or Abeno. Fewer crowds and room to browse figures
  • Best for a side trip: Kumamoto. It's at Kumamoto Station, has life-size Luffy, Sabo and Ace figures, and is the start of the Straw Hat statue route
  • Want something bigger and newer? The ONE PIECE BASE SHOP in Shinjuku has about 800 items, about 500 of them exclusive

Which Mugiwara Store has the Shanks statue?

The Shibuya main store. It has a Red-Haired Shanks figure holding out the straw hat, so you can pose under it like young Luffy, plus life-size Chopper and Sanji. Each store has different photo figures, and displays can change, so check the store's X account (@mugiwara_store) before going just for the photo.

Is the Mugiwara Store tax free?

Shibuya, Tokyo Station, Odaiba, Harajuku and Kumamoto use their building's tax-free counter. Bring your passport.

Important: Japan's tax-free system changes on November 1, 2026. You'll pay the full price in the shop, then get the tax back at the airport. Scan your passport at a tax-free terminal before you check your bags, within 90 days of buying. The minimum is still ¥5,000 per store per day. Carry your purchases in your hand luggage.

Does the Mugiwara Store sell One Piece cards?

Yes, but popular ONE PIECE Card Game boosters usually go by lottery (抽選), announced on the official site, sometimes with restock lotteries. For guaranteed card shopping and events, try Bandai's official card game shops or Akihabara's card shops.

Can I buy from the Mugiwara Store online, and does it ship to the US?

The official online shop is run through Toei Animation's Japanese web store and is aimed at Japan. Check its shipping page before ordering. In the US, the first Mugiwara Store opens in Los Angeles on November 6, 2026 at Westfield Century City.

Are there Mugiwara Stores outside Japan?

Yes: Shanghai (permanent), the Seoul Lotte World pop-up (until Dec 31, 2026), a Busan pop-up (Oct 30 – Nov 26, 2026) and Los Angeles from Nov 6, 2026. Singapore's Jewel Changi store closed in August 2026.

Tips for visiting

  • Go at opening (10:00 or 11:00) on a weekday. At busy times stores limit entry or hand out numbered tickets
  • Ask for the point card when you pay
  • Payment is easy: cards, Suica, PayPay, Alipay and WeChat Pay are widely accepted
  • Each store has its own local exclusives, so collectors visit more than one

Is One Piece Tokyo Tower still open?

No. The Tokyo One Piece Tower theme park closed for good on July 31, 2020. For One Piece in Tokyo today, visit the Mugiwara Stores above, the ONE PIECE BASE SHOP, or the One Piece gym.
